Comartis at the Learntec 2006

Learntec 2006Comartis starts the trade fair year 2006 with the Learntec in Karlsruhe (Germany).

From 14th - 16th February 2006, Comartis will

again be represented at the Learntec with its own booth.

The trade fair – this year under the slogan "Learntec – Know What’s To Come" – has changed its appearance and now shows itself to be more internationally orientated.

We would be pleased to offer you a cup of coffee and to inform you about the current developments in the e-Learning area especially with regard to our

Suva (Swiss Accident Insurance Fund) Orders Further WBTs from Comartis

Suva Risk After Comartis’ successful implementation of the web-based training "Versicherte Betriebe" (insured companies) at Suva, and after a stringent selection process, Suva chose Comartis as its partner for the realization of two additional WBTs.

Suva uses the new learning programs "Obligatorisch versicherte Personen" (compulsory insured persons) and "Prämienrechnungen, Lohnbegriff und Betriebsrevisionen" (premium notes, pay concept and company auditing) for employee training.

The Suva increasingly relies on online media for training and further education purposes.

Cornelsen Case Study Best Practice: Placement Tests with i-qBox e-Testing
Since October 2005, the Cornelsen publishing group uses the e-Testing module of Comartis’
i-qBox e-Learning Solution for language trial tests.

Test participants, education administrators and the persons responsible for the respective subjects alike benefit from the online education administration support:

  • The trial tests are independent of time and place.
  • The test results are displayed immediately – to administrators and to participants.
  • The test participants receive immediate feedback upon completion of the test. This feedback can be printed if required.
  • Depending on the test results, the participants are offered the possibility to take a new test on a lower or higher level respectively (adaptive tests).
  • The i-qBox supports various question types and audio integration features.
  • With the integrated authoring tool, any number of tests and exercises can be created.
  • The numerous reporting options support performance reviews for participant results and evaluation of test quality.

Best Practice
The employees of the Cornelsen publishing group who are responsible for test design have proven that they can optimize the i-qBox functionality. They developed varied tests for checking the participants’ knowledge and thus allowing a realistic classification of their knowledge level. The test results and the letter of recommendation give the test participants a general idea of their knowledge level. The letter of recommendation serves the following purposes:

  • It is used as an information sheet for course registration.
  • It shows the participant’s level of knowledge.
  • In connection with the general result overview, it explains what the indicated level of knowledge means.
  • It offers information on the selection of a suitable language course.

Comartis Support – Ticketing System

Comartis Support, Ticketing System In order to be able to meet the ever growing customer requirements as to support questions, Comartis has developed and successfully implemented a ticketing system.

Compared with traditional inquiry methods such as telephone or e-mail, Comartis’ Ticketing System offers customers an overview of open inquiries including status information.

A further advantage of the new Ticketing System is that questions and answers can be attached to a ticket and that tickets can be supplemented with the files required to find a solution. 
The Ticketing System reduces the administrative workload on the part of Comartis. Even persons who are not involved will find it easy to trace the complete history of a ticket.

Customers such as Beiersdorf Gruppe and Credit Suisse already use Comartis’ new Ticketing System. In order to allow smoother handling of support tasks, Comartis plans to implement this effective system for further customers in spring 2006.

Climate Cent Foundation – PIN Form

Climate Cent Foundation

The Climate Cent Foundation, which is funded by a charge of 1.5 cents per liter on all imports of petrol and diesel, supports projects contributing to the reduction of C02 emissions. The Climate Cent Foundation was established by Swiss industry in the context of the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol, which has seen the Swiss government commit itself to a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The foundation invests in domestic and foreign projects.

Based on asp.NET, Comartis has developed an online form to create a standardized structure for funding applications. Applicants use this form to present projects and submit applications.

The information entered in the completed form is converted to PDF format, emailed to the applicant and to the foundation and saved in a database. For further processing, it is possible to export the records saved in this database to an Excel file.
